Corner Upholstered Bed

Corner expresses the current lifestyle trend to multifunctionality: It may be used as bed as well as a piece of furniture for relaxation. The spatial and functional separation between living and sleeping is overcome by the character of its design. The furniture is flexible and may be adapted spontaneously to the various requirements of its user. An upholstered, vertical frame enclosing the conventional mattress can be easily lifted in several steps by lock hinges, individually corner by corner or in an inclined position from 0 to 90 degrees. During the day the bed is transformed into a relax island by a coverlet and large cushions fulfilling the functions of a sofa for one or more persons. Corner neutralises the classic alignment of a bed with headboard and footboard; and by lifting the corners an optimal leaning position is achieved comparable with relaxing on a sofa.
